This device does not use Android’s standard auto-rotation settings. The onboard accelerometer has been intentionally removed from the hardware, so screen orientation must be set manually through a built-in developer utility called ToolBox.
This article explains how to manually rotate the display to 0°, 90°, 180°, or 270° using the ToolBox application.
Use this procedure if:
The screen content appears sideways or upside down
The unit has been mounted in a portrait or inverted orientation
The display was factory reset or firmware updated
The display orientation does not match the physical installation
Screen rotation requires a system restart to take effect
Touch input follows the screen rotation automatically
Auto-rotation is disabled by design and cannot be enabled
Recommended setting for most portrait installations: 270°
Locate the Home button at the bottom center of the screen
Icon: Circle with six dots
Tap the Home button to open the app list
In the app list, locate ToolBox
Tap ToolBox to open the advanced system menu
Inside ToolBox, select Rotation Settings
This opens the rotation configuration screen
At the top of the Rotation Settings menu, tap Screen Rotation
A selection window will appear with the following options:
0° – Standard landscape
90° – Portrait (clockwise)
180° – Inverted landscape
270° – Portrait (counter-clockwise)
Select the desired rotation value
Most portrait installs: select 270°
After selecting, a confirmation prompt will appear asking to reboot
Tap Confirm
The unit will automatically restart
During reboot:
The Android startup screen should appear rotated correctly
Once fully booted, all content should match the orientation change of the display
If the screen is still incorrect, repeat the process and select a different rotation value.
Because this system does not support automatic screen rotation, ToolBox → Rotation Settings is the only supported method to change orientation. Once set and rebooted, the orientation remains persistent until manually changed again.
